The Wilmington Conservatory of Fine Arts is a dance studio local to Wilmington, NC which specializes in numerous forms of dance instruction. Offering classes in a variety of styles, to students between the ages of 18 months to 18 years old. The conservatory regularly offers specialized camps and public performances for the local community.

Project Background:

I began my work with WCFA in late 2020, with a strong focus on assisting the conservatory in overcoming the many challenges posed to businesses in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, I worked to optimize all of their digital assets, reputation management, Zoom integration, and worked to remove a hacker from their digital channels.

Additionally, I assisted in the development of all marketing assets for performances, such as posters, show programs, and web graphics. During the performances, I typically could be found in the crowd taking pictures of the dancers and was later responsible for uploading any media for external consumption, such as video of the performance.

Outside of my typical services, I regularly assisted the Director, Cory Smith, with any writing needs, such as composing letters of recommendation for her students.

Moving forward, I was responsible for WCFA’s social media, monthly email newsletter, website updates, content creation, and any graphic design needs. I regularly curated campaigns to drive the conservatory’s various class offerings, performances, and leads for new students. This typically included email marketing, social media marketing, and running advertising campaigns for the conservatory.
