Global Communications Director @ Students For Liberty
Students For Liberty is a nonprofit organization that aims to educate, develop, and empower pro-liberty students from all over the world. With chapters on every inhabited continent, Students For Liberty is one of the largest libertarian organizations in the world.
As the Global Communications Director, I spearheaded the development of new global communications and marketing strategies and managed the team’s operations and projects worldwide. The Global Communications Team, was responsible for the organization’s overall marketing, communications, media, and crisis mitigation operations, both on a global and local level.

Background:
Within the first six months in my role at Students For Liberty, I built the new Global Communications team from three to seven team members, which operated remotely on five different continents. After conducting deep market analysis, I developed a new comprehensive marketing, communications, and messaging strategy which is still being deployed by the organization today.
Our primary objective was to manage the marketing and communications assets for the global organization, as well as maintain the organizations brand across all assets and chapters. Harnessing these assets to attract prospective young leaders to Students For Liberty’s various programs and events, the largest of these being LibertyCon, an event that attracts thousands of attendees yearly from around the world.
Our secondary objective was to provide support and resources to the individual student chapters on various continents. This not only included assisting in their localized marketing efforts but providing regular training to activists in the field’s of marketing, communications, and media.
In addition to these objectives, the Global Communications Team was responsible for curating content, managing the pipeline for donor solicitations and communications.
Independent of the team, I regularly led research projects, focused on direct internal and external feedback. This included a multitude of surveys and one round of focus groups, aimed at gauging the successful of several programs and strategies.
Caitlin is both an amazing manager and a highly skilled digital marketer. From my previous experience as her employee, Caitlin provided our communications team with the stability and confidence to tackle new projects and be ambitious. She is approachable and seeks feedback from both her peers and employees to ensure consistent professional development and improvement. With her management skills and leadership ability, Caitlin naturally ensures a healthy division of work and proper project management amongst her team members. She often takes on any additional time-sensitive work herself to maintain this aforementioned balance, which quickly builds critical trust between her and the team.
